Description:

Join us for a special holiday edition of the Wisconsin Databricks User Group meetup on January 20th! While the holidays may be behind us, this event is all about reconnecting, relaxing, and kicking off the new year with the local data community. This session places extra emphasis on networking and socializing, with plenty of time to connect with fellow data professionals, enjoy food and drinks, and take part in prize giveaways. Whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, exchange ideas, or just unwind with others in the Databricks ecosystem, this meetup is designed to be equal parts informative and social. As always, Databricks practitioners of all experience levels are welcome, and you can choose to join us in person or attend virtually through our live webinar.

MLOps in Databricks:

In this technical session, Andrew McQueen, Databricks Data Science Professional, will walk through how Databricks supports end-to-end MLOps workflows using a hands-on, real-world example rather than just slides. The presentation will cover experiment tracking, model comparison and selection, model registry and versioning, monitoring, and building repeatable workflows that scale as new data arrives. Andrew will also touch on key Databricks platform capabilities such as governance and Unity Catalog, tying everything together into a practical, production-ready MLOps lifecycle that teams can actually use.
